PR musical chairs

There has been a surge of industry movement within the PR community over the past couple of months as consultants leap from one agency to another. There has been no shortage of headhunting and poaching and, as a result, PR company directors have been unusually tight-lipped about recent staff changes. However, ITJourno/MediaConnect has managed to compile this round-up of industry movements.

Promotions to the Max
Max Australia’s Rachel Norcott has been promoted within the company from her role as account executive to consultant. According to managing director, Fiona Martin, Norcott will assume a higher level of responsibility, including “more writing and face-to-face involvement with clients”.

Alex Murphy, who initially came on board on a contract basis while Traci St Lawrence was on maternity leave, has also taken on a permanent position with the agency.

St Lawrence is due back from maternity leave later this year yet Martin confirmed that the agency will keep the two account managers "because they're both exceptional".
