Webtrends Government Event

Client

WebTrends provides web analytics and online marketing solutions to optimise marketing campaigns and customer engagement.

Challenge

Webtrends wanted to amplify its share of voice in the government sector and looked to Max Australia to develop an event that would raise the company's profile within government organisations and showcase the specialist solutions it could provide to the public sector. The aim was to generate sales leads with government organisations who were interested in implementing Webtrends solutions.

Solution

Max worked with Webtrends to develop content for the event, identifying services and case studies that would appeal to the government sector. This content was worked into a tight run order, designed to showcase the breadth of Webtrends’ analytics and social media insights along with examples of what the company had achieved for the Obama administration in the US and, more locally, the State Library of New South Wales.

Max was also charged with identifying key government influencers, compiling a database of the technology teams and web masters in all relevant government departments. These influencers were targeted with invites and follow up calls to increase the chances of attendance.

Finally, Max worked on organising the event itself, sourcing and managing location and catering and logistics to ensure that the event ran smoothly on the day.

Benefits

Max secured 42 high profile attendees from organisations including Medicare, Australian Taxation Office, Centrelink, Department of Defence, Department of Immigration and Citizenship and the Attorney Generals’ office. The audience was impressive and engaged by the content including case studies and live demonstrations. There was a call for additional information with Webtrends securing five sales leads at the event itself. A month after the event, Webtrends are still enjoying increased brand recognition in the government sector with public sector clients requesting a repeat of the event.
