The Spectrum Group, comprising Spectrum Communications and Max Australia, two of Australia’s leading IT public relations consultancies, today announced the appointment of Laura Skelley to Group Managing Director. Laura will be responsible for the development and growth of Spectrum Communications and Max Australia.
Laura has over 12 years experience in strategic communications and marketing for clients in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the UK and North America as well as a background in journalism. She has been the Managing Director of Max Australia for the past three years. Her expertise lies in the areas of strategy, business development, issues management, media relations, PR 2.0 and stakeholder communications.
Laura’s experience has been gained across the Technology, Consumer, Professional Services, Automotive, Healthcare, and Not-for-Profit industries. Before making the switch to PR, Laura worked in a variety of producing roles with CBS and CNN in Washington DC and New York.

Laura takes over Spectrum Communications from the pervious Managing Director, Michael Henderson. Michael has now taken on the role of chief executive of DEC Communications. “Michael has been a great asset to our company and we have enjoyed working with him. On behalf of everyone at Spectrum, we wish Michael all the best in his new role,” added Naomi.
